Akaki Tsereteli State University Georgia was founded in 1933, it is one of the old-est state educational centers in Georgia with well developed infrastructure. The study process at ATSU is conducted in each level — bachelor, master and doctorate, which are accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. At the present time, due to the success of the re-forms, the University has around 10,000 students at nine faculties.
University co-operates productively with Universities and Scientific Centers of EU, USA and Eastern countries to establish conditions meeting international accreditation/ approval standards and to create the best environment for the students.
About MD Program at Akaki Tsereteli State University Georgia
University started to run at the Faculty of Medi-cine the English-speaking international quality Medical Degree (MD) program, in which we have 135 foreign students, the University has University Clinic, which is one of the best clinics in Western Georgia and we also actively collaborate with other leading clinics in the city too.
Educational program involves 360 ECTS credits. One credit is equal to 25 academic hours and ends with final qualification exam.
Program duration is 6 academic years, 12 Semesters (15-15 academic weeks), maximum 22 academic contact hours per week.
